How counting works
Since Thu, 8 October 2026: 221 views by people, 962 by bots. Still open, i.e. without a response: 2.
- Bots are recognised by the server from the browser identifier (user agent) and counted immediately, by category only.
- People: All other page views receive a random one-time number. Only when the page is actually used – scrolling, typing, moving the mouse – does a small script send it back, and the view counts as a person. Without a response it is counted as the bot “Ohne JavaScript (unerkannt)” (no JavaScript, unrecognised) after 30 minutes.
- Visits are different visitors on one day. For this the server forms a shortened checksum with a random value that changes daily; the IP address is never stored, and the checksums are deleted the following day.
- Aggregation: the last 30 days are shown day by day, older days as monthly totals, months after twelve months as yearly totals.
- Limits: anyone with JavaScript switched off, or who does not use the page, appears as “Ohne JavaScript (unerkannt)”. The statistics page itself is not counted.
